Not a big safari/expedition butt what the hell, ya gotta start somewhere/time
Got out my old MSR GoreTex expedition tent and pitched it in big yard and stayed therein Fri and Sat nites last
Very pukka tent, snow flaps and pull outs/tie downs..............bring it on!
Rained (no drizzle) all Sat nite and some water came in the floor seems it seamed, I think that probably I need to re do all the seems
Stayed warm and dry and really slept quite well
This tent is the only application of Gore Tex that I know about where ya could actually see evidence of water vapor going somewhere
Some years kcab Mrs D et self were in Colo juan fall at (9,000' (+) outside of Lake City in an Uncompahgre Nat Forest camp ground, "cold" and dry
There wuz frost on the tent (dry interior walls) and no frost on ground, etc, probably 'nuff body heat inside tent to create a bit of "help" (enhanced vapor pressure) on inside to push vapor through the G Tex to condense on the outside
